| One of the writers for the NY Daily News heard one of Joe Curvino's
comments after the helicopter rescue that went like this...Someone ought to buy you guys a
couple of beers! Joe said, "Forget about the beers, how about a couple of
Yankee Tickets." That writer got on the phone with George Steinbrenner press agent. Steinbrenner got back to him and said to get those guys over here. Lets have a "Heroes Day." VIP parking and box seats next to the dugout. What more could a Yankee fan ask for? How about meeting all the Yankee announcers! Both TV and Radio. Michael Key, John Sterling, Susan Walman, Jim Kaat, and Paul O'Neil! How about meeting some of the PLAYERS!
